Lots of fall-type things again: squash, sweet potatoes, and decorative gourds and corn. For those with inclinations to the unusual or who like to experiment, I’ll have plenty of roselle again, as well as some garden huckleberries (not to be confused with the huckleberries beloved in the Northwest).
We’ve had several light frosts already — this year apparently has to have weird weather in pretty much every way — and it looks like we may well get a hard freeze this weekend. If that happens, then this will be the last week for a number of the tender crops, e.g., peppers, roselle, and tomatoes. — Sydney
