Harvesting today was interrupted by the rain arriving earlier than forecasted, but I certainly won’t complain. After a frustrating week of watching thunderstorms go by in every direction from the farm, I’m just thrilled that we’re finally getting some desperately needed rain. It probably won’t be enough to soak soils that are parched a long way down, but it will make a big difference for the plants for the next several days and perhaps we can get some more rain at that point. — Sydney
